Mud baths of Lo Pagan

Mud baths of Lo Pagan

San Pedro del Pinatar is located on the Mar Menor, a salt lake on the Costa Blanca and is known for its salt production and medicinal mud baths. During the summer months you can see people on Lo Pagan beach who rub themselves in mud and then let themselves dry in the sun. Then they bathe in the sea. The water of the Mar Menor contains a lot of iodine. People with joint complaints or skin problems indicate that these treatments reduce the complaints.

The mud baths are free !. All ages can use the mud baths, and if real hard you do this of course also during the winter months. The mud baths are located at the end of the beach and the beginning of the Salinas walking and cycling route to the sea. Just walk down the stairs and lubricate with the therapeutic mud. Very good for all skin types, complaints and pains. Dry in the sun for a while, then go back into the water to rinse it all off!

Visit Alicante City – Castle of Santa Barbara

Visit Alicante City – Castle of Santa Barbara

On top of the 166 high hill Monte Benacantil stands the Castle of Santa Barbara (Castillo de Santa Bárbara). The castle complex is made up of elements that date from different years. Of the remains that still stand today, the oldest date from the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Castillo de Santa Bárbara is freely accessible. You reach the castle on foot via the fortress wall or via the Parque de la Ereta. The easiest route is to take the lift built in the middle of the hill. You reach the lift via the 205-meter-long walking tunnel, the entrance of which is on Calle Jovellanos.
